BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has announced the dates for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League. The remaining matches of IPL 2021, hanging in the balance due to Corona virus, will be played in the UAE from 19 September to 15 October. This is the first time that the board or any official associated with the tournament has confirmed this.
The tournament had to be postponed on 4 May in a hurry due to the increasing cases of Kovid-19. 29 matches of the world’s most expensive cricket league have been played in India and 31 matches are yet to be played. The World T20 is to be organized immediately after this second part of the tournament, which is also hosted by the BCCI, although the dates have not been announced by the ICC yet.
