Former Jamaican star Sprinter Usain Bolt will support Virat Kohli’s captain Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 14). Bolt uploaded a photo of himself wearing an RCB jersey on social media on Wednesday.
RCB will begin their campaign in IPL 2021 against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI v RCB) on 9 April. Bolt wrote on his official Twitter handle tagging Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, “Challengers, I want to tell you that I am still the fastest runner.”
Virat Kohli tweeted on this, ‘No doubt about it. So we have now got you in our team. ‘ RCB have so far been away from the IPL title. The team is still waiting to become the champion under Kohli’s captaincy.
This time the batting of RCB team has been strengthened with the arrival of Glenn Maxwell in the team. RCB has young batsman like Kohli, AB de Villiers apart from young opener Devdutt Padikkal who can turn the match dice on his own.
AB de Villiers wrote to Bolt, “We know who to call when we need an extra run.” On joining RCB, Maxwell has said that his dream was to play with batsmen like Kohli and de Villiers.
