Amid the growing crisis of Kovid-19 (COVID-19), the country’s largest bank SBI has advised its customers to be vigilant with thugs and not download any app from any unknown source. Granted The bank also asked customers not to reply to unsolicited offers from e-mail, SMS or any other social media account, no matter how attractive they may be.

State Bank of India (SBI) said in a message sent to customers, “We advise our customers to be vigilant with thugs and not to download any app from any unknown source.”

Do not share this information

The bank asked the customers not to share important information such as date of birth, debit card number, debit card PIN and CVV, OTP and also asked them to call on behalf of SBI, Reserve Bank, Police or KYC Authority Beware of thugs.

Do not download any mobile app based on telephone call or email from unknown source. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is also running a customer awareness campaign ‘RBI Says’ to protect customers from being cheated by fraudsters.
