Arsenal continued their explosive start to the season with a crucial win against Liverpool that saw them return to the top spot in the Premier League table at Emirates Stadium.
Gabriel Martinelli scored the goal in the opening minute. Bukayo Saka then added two more goals to bring Liverpool to 10th place in their Premier League table.
The hosts looked confident in the initial stages. However, Liverpool started to dominate the game midway through. Liverpool's increased effort was
rewarded 11 minute before the end of the first half when Darwin Nunez scored his second league goals of the season.
Nunez, who is still struggling to get off to a good start since signing from Benfica for a club-record amount in the summer, clinically touched Luis Diaz's cross and drew the game level.
Arsenal, despite Liverpool's rise in the game, enjoyed another spell under pressure and was again rewarded.
Liverpool were exposed again on their right side. Martinelli flashed a pin-point low crossover to Saka, who won the match past Alisson.
