Tate McRae Reflects on Comparisons to Britney Spears and Teases New Music Release

Rising pop sensation Tate McRae recently opened up about her whirlwind year during an interview, where she addressed the frequent comparisons to pop icon Britney Spears. When asked how it felt to be compared to such a legendary figure, McRae expressed her gratitude, calling it "a compliment."

“I think she's one of the most incredible performers of the 2000s,” McRae shared. “I remember watching her as a kid all the time. I just feel very lucky that she's seen my performances and knows my music. It feels crazy and very surreal.”

In addition to reflecting on the comparisons, McRae teased the release of her new single, set to drop tomorrow. Describing the song as “very Pop,” she revealed that the music video will be “ballsy and daring.” McRae also gave a shout-out to her choreographer, Sean Bhead, who “crushed the choreography.”

Listening to anyone else gets you nowhere and just makes you 10 times more confused. You always know in your gut,” she advised.
