The Easter Truth Social Meltdown of Donald Trump Raises Concern

Donald Trump speaks during a press conference at 40 Wall Street after a pre-trial hearing on March 25, 2024 in New York City. The Republican posted numerous messages on his social media platform on Easter Sunday.

His detractors are alarmed by Donald Trump’s behavior on Truth Social; one has even referred to him as a “embarrassment to America.”
The former president shared press coverage and over seventy messages on his social media platform on Easter Sunday, in which he criticized his political adversaries. He criticized the economic policies of President Joe Biden in one post and polls indicating that Donald Trump will win the presidential election in November in another.

Regarding his civil fraud case, he criticized Judge Arthur Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James in other posts. A New York appeals court extended Trump’s deadline to deposit a $175 million surety and satisfy the judgment in the case by ten days last month; the amount was significantly reduced from the initial demand. Trump, who is appealing Engoron’s ruling that he inflated the value of his assets, denies any misconduct.Subsequently, in capital letters, Trump distributed an Easter message wherein he accused his detractors of interfering with the election and raged against efforts to prosecute him in his numerous indictments (to which he has adamantly pleaded not guilty).

“HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, INCLUDING CROOKED AND CORRUPT PROSECUTORS AND JUDGES THAT ARE DOING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO INTERFERE WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2024, AND PUT ME IN PRISON, INCLUDING THOSE MANY PEOPLE THAT I COMPLETELY & TOTALLY DESPISE BECAUSE THEY WANT TO DESTROY AMERICA, A NOW FAILING NATION,” he wrote to reporters.

Trump then specifically mentioned Department of Justice (DOJ) special counsel Jack Smith, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg when he criticized his prosecutors. He criticized every prosecutor and Biden, labeling the president “CROOKED.” “HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!” further wished the former president in his concluding message.
Social media commentators criticized the Republican in response. An email was sent to a Trump representative by Newsweek requesting comment on this article.
