The winner of Season 10 of “The Masked Singer” was announced on Wednesday night during a brand-new two-hour season finale.
Before the audience and judges decided, each of the last four celebrity contestants sang a brand-new song on the last episode.
But there could only be one winner of the Golden Mask Trophy, and that winner was Cow, who turned out to be Grammy-winning singer Ne-Yo.
“The first few times you sang, you fooled me,” host Nick Cannon told the singer.
Ne-Yo wins season 10 of ‘The Masked Singer’
Nicole Scherzinger said, “Ne-Yo, you’re the best because you’ve never fooled us so hard before.”
Ne-Yo has won three Grammy Awards and is known as one of the most important artists in R&B music in the 2000s. He has had a lot of hits over the course of his work, such as “Miss Independent,” “So Sick,” and “She Knows.”
He’s great at everything—dancing, singing, making songs, producing, acting—and here he is holding a trophy while dressed as a cow. That’s what panelist Robin Thicke told the crowd after he was revealed.
Ne-Yo, who is 44 years old, gave the chance to appear on “The Masked Singer” to his mom.
He said, “My mother has been my rock my whole life.” “She still is to this day, so this one is for you ma.”
Ne-Yo won the Golden Mask Trophy in the end, but that meant that three other finalists would be shown and sent home.
Sea Queen revealed as Macy Gray
It turned out that Sea Queen was actually famous, award-winning singer Macy Gray.
“We’re so glad you could be here,” Cannon told the judges, who bowed to her.
Gray is famous for having a raspy voice and a unique way of singing. Gray has put out ten studio records and been nominated for five Grammy Awards, winning one.
“Your voice is beautiful. Scherzinger told Gray, “You can sing the phone book.””God gave you a voice that is unlike anyone else’s. It’s a pleasure to have you on our stage.”
“She’s the purest form of an artist because she never stops being Macy Gray,” Thicke said. It’s a lovely, lovely thing.”
Gazelle revealed as Janel Parrish
Next, Gazelle was found to be singer and actor Janel Parrish.
The award-winning actress, who is best known for her role on “Pretty Little Liars,” said that music is her “first love.”
“It’s the first thing I ever did when I was a kid, and somewhere along my journey, singing became my biggest fear and my biggest insecurity,” she said, adding, “To come out here as this gorgeous Gazelle and nobody knows who I am, I got to just tap into my voice, and now I feel like a singer, and it’s because of you guys, so thank you.”
Ken Jeong, a panelist, used the Ding Dong Keep It On Bell to save Parrish earlier this season.
“Honestly, I don’t regret it all, because literally it’s one of the best voices I’ve ever heard on the show,” Jeong informed Parrish. “Great job, and we’re in awe.”
Donut revealed as John Schneider
Next, it was revealed that Donut was actually actor and country singer John Schneider, who is famous for his parts in many TV shows, such as “The Dukes of Hazzard.”
“Dukes of Hazzard” was my favorite show when I was a kid, Jeong told the star. “So, you’re a part of my childhood, and so I’m starstruck, but thank you for being so vulnerable … thank you for enriching our lives man.”
Jenny McCarthy, one of the panelists, correctly guessed that Schneider was the person behind the mask.
The 63-year-old has also had a successful singing career, putting out nine studio records.
It’s an honor to be here. Schneider said, “I know that my bride would have been thrilled.” Schneider lost his wife earlier this year. “She would have been having a great time back there.” It’s great to be a part of what you’re doing.
He also said, “If you love someone very much, make sure they know it before you go to sleep tonight.” Make sure they know you love them.
