During a segment of The Five on Wednesday night, Democratic strategist Jessica Tarlov raised concerns regarding the mental acuity of Donald Trump on Fox News.
Co-host Jeanine Pirro remarked, “You know, Jessica, Trump aced a test of mental acuity; why can’t Biden do the same?”

“Implementing this mental acuity test onto individuals who have experienced traumatic accidents would involve tasks such as identifying animals and counting backwards by a factor of seven,” Ms. Tarlov explained. “Trump’s statements, including his “man,” “person,” “woman,” and “camera” remarks to [former Fox anchor] Chris Wallace, are embarrassing.”Mr. Trump has previously made multiple references to the test.

“There were thirty to thirty-five questions.” The initial inquiries are quite simple. “The last few questions are considerably more challenging,” he told Fox News in 2020.
“You will say ‘person, woman, man, camera, television,'” he continued. “Asked, ‘Could you kindly reiterate that?'” Thus, the order is “Person, woman, man, television, camera.” That’s really quite excellent. “Ordering them will earn you additional points,” he further stated.

He told Fox News anchor Sean Hannity in July 2020, “I aced it, which proved I was fully prepared.”
According to him, physicians at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland exclaimed, “That is incomprehensible. Rarely do individuals perform an action similar to the one you have just described.
Newsweek noted that the inquiries bear resemblance to those found on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. The examination detects early indicators of dementia.

In June 2021, fourteen Republican members of the House have requested that President Joe Biden take the examination. A letter advocating for the test was signed by Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician who is currently a Republican representative in the Texas House of Representatives.

In 2018, Dr. Jackson, who served as the White House physician at the time, reported that Mr. Trump achieved an impeccable score on a cognitive assessment. He further asserted that there was “absolutely no grounds to suspect the president has any cognitive difficulties whatsoever.”

The US Navy recently demoted Dr. Jackson in light of an inspector general’s report which discovered he consumed alcohol and narcotics during his tenure at the Trump White House, as reported by The Washington Post earlier this month.

According to the report, Dr. Jackson “engaged in inappropriate behavior involving the use of alcohol” and “overall course of conduct toward subordinates disparaged, belittled, bullied, and humiliated them, and fostered a negative work environment.”

Navy spokesman Joe Keiley stated, “The Secretary of the Navy took administrative action in July 2022 in response to the substantiated allegations in the DoDIG [Department of Defense Office of Inspector General] investigation of Rear Adm (lower half) Ronny Jackson that did not meet the standards the Navy expects of its leaders.”
