“Decoupled” is a new Netflix original series about a man who is divorced from his wife. The show is based on a real story, and the lead character is a writer and full-time philosopher named Arya Iyer.
The plot revolves around a modern independent couple named Arya and Shruti. The two are preparing for a divorce, so they throw a decoupling party.
R Madhavan as Arya Iyer (Celebrity auther) and Surveen Chawla as Shruti Sharma Iyer (Finance Manager) both are couple and they are separating apart from their relationship. The story line tell they are looking for divorce and also continue in the same flat as a Co-parent of their school going daughter Rohini ( Arista Mehta).
While Decoupled is a satire on modern relationships, it does have a point in its message. The protagonist, Arya, is a writer who isn't quite fit in the high-society world. He questions everything and everyone, and often becomes agitated with questions about life. His wife, Shruti (Surveen Chawla), is a boss woman who's struggling with a broken marriage and an upcoming divorce.
