Former President Trump’s repeated accusations that President Biden was responsible for the criminal allegations against him prompted a rebuttal from Vice President Biden.
Biden was queried regarding the remarks made by Trump during an interview with Nexstar correspondent Reshad Hudson. Trump, whose trial in New York City commenced this week on charges levied by Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg regarding a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016, was the subject of the inquiry.
“He holds you, President Biden, directly accountable for those prosecutions.” What is your intended reply to that? Hudson inquired.
Biden replied, “His lack of ethics has nothing to do with me.”
While campaigning in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden was also confronted with the question of how he intended to reduce prices, given that inflation has kept the cost of products such as eggs elevated.
“Well, we’re working to get those prices down by making sure corporate profits are brought under control,” said Vice President Biden.
The president articulated his conviction in his ability to secure Pennsylvania, a state that he narrowly secured in 2020. According to the most recent Fox News poll, while Trump held a two-point lead in a one-on-one comparison, he was deadlocked in a five-way race with third-party and independent candidates. “We have more volunteers, we have more headquarters open, we have more people working for us,” said Vice President Biden. “Look, we have raised – we have over 1,600,000 people contributing to us, many of them are Pennsylvanians, tens of thousands of them.”
“What is the mean value of the average contribution?” Biden further stated, “A little less than $200, or less than $200, given that nearly 97% of our total contributions originate from modest donors.” “We’ve established multiple headquarters here while he had yet to establish a single headquarters.” “He is not present in this location.”
As Biden embarks on his campaign tour, Trump finds himself ensnared in a Manhattan courtroom during the jury selection process. In addition to a misdemeanor, the former president faced an unprecedented 34 felony counts for falsifying business documents by establishing a connection between his actions and an alleged election violation.
Trump is currently confronted with three supplementary indictments totaling 88 criminal charges. Two of these indictments were issued by Special Counsel Jack Smith in connection with his conduct on January 6 in Washington, D.C. and the classified documents case in Florida. The third indictment was brought by Fulton County DA Fani Willis in Georgia and alleges that Trump attempted to tamper with the state’s election results.
